Conservation

newkitichconserv1Kitich Camp's community development schemes and eco-preservation projects:
  • The Environment is being preserved for future generations of Samburu, wildlife and visitors. The Samburu themselves have received great benefits from the guests of the camp, through the Conservation Fee which everyone pays by staying at Kitich.
  • Conservation fee funds benefit the entire community, from education to health care and community development.
  • Everything about Kitich has been left as natural as possible. Each of the six tents features an en suite bathroom with traditional safari shower (water carried by hand).
  • Because of the pristine and unexplored wilderness, Kitich Camp prefers to avoid the traditional game drives, instead encouraging guests to take walks guided by Samburu warriors.
